Yes. Melbourne Airport has a taxi rank, and you can take the next taxi in the queue without booking. Booking ahead helps when you want things settled before you land: your booking is linked to your flight number so the pickup moves with any delay, you can check the estimated fare in advance, and you can arrange a larger vehicle, a child seat or meet and greet ahead of time.

Use the booking form at the top of this page or on our online booking page, or call 0422 333 880. For a trip to the airport, choose From Melbourne, enter your pickup address and Melbourne Airport as the drop off, then pick your date, time, vehicle and payment method and add your name and phone number. For a pickup from the airport, choose From Airport and add the airport, your terminal and your flight number. We call you shortly after to confirm your booking and fare.

A weekday daytime sedan from Melbourne Airport to the CBD comes to about $65: the $9.90 flag fall, about 22.5 km at $2.20 per km and the $5.26 airport pickup fee. The trip the other way, from the CBD to the airport, is about $60 because there is no airport pickup fee. Friday to Sunday and night trips cost a little more, and any toll on the route is added.

No. The fares on this page and in our fare estimator do not include tolls. If your route uses a toll road, the toll is added to your fare.
