Back in 2015, getting a reliable taxi in Melbourne was harder than it should have been. Rideshare apps brought surge pricing that doubled your fare at the worst moments. Traditional taxis were hit-or-miss on punctuality. And calling to get a firm price upfront was almost impossible.
We started Book Melbourne Taxi to fix that. One rule from day one: no surge pricing, ever. Your quote at booking is the price you pay, whether it is 2pm or 2am, a weekday or a public holiday.
Since then, we have completed more than 5,000 trips across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, built a 4.9-star rating from 67 verified passengers, and expanded from airport runs to corporate accounts, NDIS transport, and city-to-city travel.
We are not a global platform with a call centre overseas. We are Melbourne-based, locally owned, and accountable to the people who ride with us.

Are your drivers actually licensed?
Yes. Every driver holds a current Victorian commercial passenger vehicle licence. This is not the same as a standard rideshare licence. You can ask to see it at any time.
Is the price really fixed, even on weekends and public holidays?
Yes. The quote you receive at booking is the final price. We do not apply surge pricing at peak times, on public holidays, or after midnight. The only additions that may apply are tolls if your route uses them, and the high occupancy fee for maxi van groups above four passengers. Both are disclosed before you confirm.
Can I book for today?
We accept same-day bookings subject to availability. For early morning airport runs and peak periods such as AFL Grand Final or New Year's Eve, booking a day or two ahead gives you more certainty.
Do you cover my suburb?
We cover all metropolitan Melbourne suburbs and regional cities including Geelong, Ballarat, and Bendigo. Enter your pickup address in the booking form and it will confirm coverage, or call us directly on 0422 333 880.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight in real time. Your driver's pickup time adjusts automatically. You do not need to call us or update your booking. If your flight is cancelled, contact us and we will rearrange at no penalty.
Do you offer accounts for regular corporate bookings?
Yes. Corporate clients can set up an account with consolidated monthly invoicing. Contact us at info@bookmelbournetaxi.com.au to arrange.
